Three slots needed fixing today, and the replacements don't disappoint: Pagani's one-off Utopia Roadster 'La Nonna' lands in Saudi Arabia with a story that belongs in a novel, Manhart goes full elegy and squeezes 711hp from BMW's last V12 before Munich buries the cylinder count forever, and the Broad Arrow Villa d'Este auction quietly posted some of the sharpest collector results of the European spring. Gunther Werks' 840hp twin-turbo open-top 993 stays at the top — because it's still the most absurd thing on wheels this week — and Goodwood FoS holds its slot for all the obvious reasons.

840hp. Twin-Turbo. Manual. Goodbye Speedster.

Gunther Werks' final 993 Speedster packs forced induction nobody asked for and everyone wanted — and it signals the birth of GWX coachbuilding.

Project Endgame: 4.0L air-cooled twin-turbo by Rothsport Racing, 840hp, 660lb-ft, 7,500rpm redline, six-speed manual, 1,179kg. One-of-one, price north of $1.5M. Rennlist reaction is split: half the thread is eulogising the Speedster programme; the other half is asking why a turbo Speedster wasn't the plan from day one.

Project Endgame is the last Speedster Gunther Werks will ever build — the company wrapped its original 25-car Speedster run in 2023 and has now closed the chapter entirely with this single commission. The 4.0-litre flat-six was built by Rothsport Racing to full motorsport specification, complete with individual throttle bodies, air-to-water intercoolers plated in 24-karat gold, and a flat cooling fan as a nod to Porsche Motorsport. Power hits 840hp and 660lb-ft at a 7,500rpm redline, sent exclusively to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual with bespoke ratios. The car weighs just 1,179kg. The body is a rebodied 993 clothed in carbon, with widened rear quarters to accommodate the forced-induction setup, the GW Evo carbon wing making its first Speedster appearance, and a candy red and gold interior with carbon-backed racing seats. The 24-karat gold gear lever has six gems set into the H-pattern. Gunther Werks boss Peter Nam notes the client specifically requested the turbo engine in open-top form — making it the only Speedster in the programme to run forced induction. The project also marks the formal launch of GWX, GW's new bespoke coachbuilding division. For the Alps crowd: 840hp, 1,179kg, rear-wheel-drive, manual, open-top. The Susten awaits.

Pagani Built a One-Off for Saudi. Called It La Nonna.

A bespoke Utopia Roadster just landed in Riyadh — named after a grandmother, finished like a jewel, and proof Horacio still signs every single one.

The Pagani Utopia Roadster 'La Nonna' is a one-off commission for Saudi collector @dhiaa070, handed over in June 2026; the Utopia Roadster line is capped at 130 units globally at ~$2.4M new. Reddit r/supercars thread consensus: 'every Pagani one-off tells a better story than an entire model range from anyone else' — the personalisation programme is quietly becoming the most talked-about in the hypercar segment.

Pagani's one-off and bespoke programme has been running quietly alongside its regular production runs, and 'La Nonna' — Italian for 'the grandmother' — is among the most emotionally charged commissions the San Cesario sul Panaro atelier has produced. The Utopia Roadster was introduced in July 2024 with a 130-unit production cap; with the coupe's 99 units already fully spoken for, every Roadster allocation has been assigned. The base car runs a 6.0-litre AMG-sourced twin-turbo V12 producing 852hp, mated to either a seven-speed manual or automated manual. The 'La Nonna' commission sits on top of that foundation with bespoke bodywork, a unique colour, and personalised interior details that reflect the owner's family heritage — the kind of brief that takes months of dialogue with Horacio Pagani's team. At ~€2.15M plus tax for a standard Utopia, a full bespoke commission carries a significant premium. The secondary market for Utopia Roadsters is already running 20–35% above MSRP. For context: Pagani delivered only around 40–50 cars per year — every delivery is an event. The Alps connection is real: several European Utopia owners have been documented on Swiss and Austrian passes, and the car's analogue, naturally-weighted controls make it one of the few true driver's hypercars at this price point.

Manhart Eulogises BMW's Last V12. 711hp.

Before Munich bins the twelve-cylinder for good, Manhart wrings 711hp and 1,050Nm from the M760Li — a tuner obituary for an engine that deserved better.

Manhart's M760Li xDrive package lifts the 6.6L twin-turbo N74 V12 to 711hp and 1,050Nm via ECU remap and stainless exhaust with sport downpipes; 21-inch wheels, lowered air suspension, and a carbon body kit complete it. BimmerPost sentiment is predictably bittersweet: 'doing God's work on a dead man walking' — BMW's new M760 drops the V12 entirely, making this the last tunable twelve-cylinder 7 Series generation.

BMW's G12-generation 7 Series M760Li was the last production BMW to carry a V12, and with the new G70 generation moving to a twin-turbo V8 for its M-badged range-topper, the window for V12 BMW tuning is definitively closing. Manhart's package is therefore as much historical preservation as performance upgrade. The N74 engine — a 6.6-litre twin-turbo unit that BMW shared with Rolls-Royce for years — was never a performance-first design, but in Manhart's hands it now delivers 711hp and a ground-shifting 1,050Nm. The stainless steel exhaust with valve control and sport downpipes transforms the soundtrack from hushed to genuinely menacing. Visually, the carbon-fibre body kit adds a front lip, side skirts, and rear diffuser, while the bespoke 21-inch wheels fill the arches on the lowered air suspension. Manhart will upgrade the brakes on request — advisable, given the mass and power involved. No official price has been published, but comparable Manhart BMW packages run between €15,000 and €35,000 over the base car. The M760Li in good order trades at €40–60k used, making a fully Manhartised example one of the most formidable — and arguably most overlooked — V12 GTs in Europe. The Alps GT crowd should pay attention: 711hp, long wheelbase, all-wheel drive, and a V12 soundtrack. There is no rational argument against it.

EVENT

Goodwood FoS Hill Order Drops Late June.

Twenty-two days out and the full running order still isn't published — but Fri/Sat are sold out and the paddock is where the real action will be anyway.

FoS runs July 9–12; the 2026 Americana theme celebrates 250 years of US independence with up to 50 American race cars including a Scarab F1, Lola Haas THL1B, and Shadow DN4. Full hill running order confirmed for late June release. Classiccarclubs.uk notes Friday and Saturday are already sold out at general release — and that walking the paddocks beats camping the Hill every time.

The 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed leans hard into its Americana theme, recognising 110 years of the Indy 500, 110 years of Pikes Peak, 60 years of Can-Am and Trans-Am simultaneously. The Cathedral Paddock becomes a dedicated American motorsport showcase with machinery spanning IndyCar, NASCAR, IMSA and Formula 1 with the Scarab F1, Lola Haas THL1B, McLaren M8F and Shadow DN4 all confirmed. For those attending for the road-car reveals, Thursday July 9 is the key day — the official 'First Glance' slot where new cars run the Hill publicly for the first time. The 2026 edition is also the first FoS to go fully digital ticketing — entry via the Goodwood Ticket app only, passes released to wallets 14 days before the event. If you have a paper voucher or third-party ticket, Goodwood recommends contacting their ticketing team before mid-June. The Singer commission confirmed for the event will make its Hill debut that Thursday. The RB17 Adrian Newey road car also debuts July 12, which for the Newey faithful is essentially a religious occasion. July 9–12, West Sussex. Pack accordingly.

Broad Arrow at Villa d'Este. Sharp Results.

The Broad Arrow Concorso d'Eleganza auction posted a quietly stellar May sale — the kind of results that tell you the European classic market is not done climbing.

Broad Arrow's Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este 2026 auction posted a top-10 result sheet that included multiple seven-figure lots against a backdrop of Lake Como; full results published May 19, 2026 via duPont REGISTRY. Reddit r/classiccars sentiment: 'Broad Arrow keeps punching above its weight at European venues' — the house's fifth Monterey cycle is already being watched closely after this form.

Broad Arrow has spent five years building a European auction presence that once looked impossible for a newer American house, and the 2026 Villa d'Este sale cements that trajectory. The Concorso d'Eleganza at Villa d'Este on Lake Como is one of the most prestigious venues in the classic car calendar, with a curated audience of European collectors and a historically conservative but high-value bidder pool. Broad Arrow's ability to attract top-tier consignments there reflects a real shift in how European collectors perceive the house relative to the established incumbents. The results published in May 2026 followed the house's record $111M Amelia Island sale in March — meaning Broad Arrow entered the European spring on the back of its strongest-ever American result. For context, RM Sotheby's Monaco 2026 set a European multi-car auction record at €87.97M in late April — the market benchmark for the season. Broad Arrow's Villa d'Este numbers were smaller but the sell-through rate and quality of consignments have positioned the house well for Monterey in August. Alpine region collectors with Italian exotics or early Porsches considering consignment for Monterey need to be in conversation with houses now — the summer consignment windows typically close in June. The collector car market in Europe in mid-2026 is not overheated, but it is firmly, deliberately bullish on the right material.
